Mirror jewelry cabinet size guide: check space, door swing and power
A full-length mirror cabinet has to suit three things at once: the wall or door it hangs on, the space it needs to open, and a nearby outlet. Check each one separately.
This guide is based on our listing photos and the manufacturer's published specifications for model JV11171US. It is not a hands-on installation test.
1. The published measurements
- 15 inches wide × 4 inches deep × 42.5 inches tall, measured without the door hooks.
- 26.5 lb empty weight, before anything is stored inside.
- The mirrored front opens to 110 degrees.
- The power adapter cable is 4.9 ft long.
2. Tape the outline — then remember what it leaves out
Tape a 15-by-42.5 inch rectangle where you'd like the cabinet. It shows the body only. It doesn't include the hooks, the cabinet door swinging open, the power cable, or the room you need to stand in front of the mirror. Treat those as separate checks, below.
3. Wall or door: check the support separately
The cabinet can hang over a door with its adjustable hooks or be mounted on a wall. For a door, the exact door thickness and top gap it fits are not published, so don't read the hook measurements in the photos as a guaranteed fit, and check that your room door still opens, closes and latches with the cabinet on it. For a wall, what's suitable depends on your wall construction. No load rating is published. Obtain and follow the supplier's installation instructions before mounting, and consider a qualified installer if you're unsure.
4. Give the cabinet door room to open
The mirrored front swings open to 110 degrees. Open a nearby door or drawer and imagine a panel as wide as the cabinet swinging out beside it: it shouldn't hit a wall corner, dresser, light switch or the frame of the room door. Leave space to stand in front of it and reach the shelves inside. We don't publish a clearance figure, so check this in your own room.
5. Plan for the plug
The lights are plug-in, not battery powered. Plan for an existing outlet within reach of the 4.9 ft adapter cable. The plug specification isn't published. If the cabinet hangs on a door, route the cable so the room door can't pinch or pull it as it opens and closes. If there's no outlet nearby, pick another spot. This guide doesn't cover any electrical work.
6. What fits inside
Inside there are ring slots, necklace hooks, earring holders, shelves and small boxes. It suits rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets best. One important note: the published 4 inches is the cabinet's exterior depth, not the usable depth inside — the interior compartment dimensions are not published. Don't measure your items against the 4-inch figure to judge fit. Bulky items like large perfume bottles, hair tools or boxed makeup may not fit, so please email us to confirm the compartment measurements before ordering if you plan to store bulky items. There's a lock and a smaller vanity mirror inside the door.
7. Colors and lights
The cabinet comes in Black, White and Rustic Brown. The front light has three adjustable settings: short-press the touch button to change the setting, long-press to change the brightness.

- Room to open the cabinet door and stand in front of the mirror.
- An outlet close enough that the 4.9 ft adapter cable reaches with slack left over, and a cable route that stays clear of the moving door.
- Supplier installation instructions obtained before mounting.

Returns for this item
